startingcollege:

I am in my Shakespeare viewing lab. Right now, we are watching the 2009 Hamlet. I just happened to see exactly where Taylor’s head was in relation to Hamlet’s “private area”… Hahaha

hahahaha oh my god this is perfect. my head is right where it should it be.

And worse I may be yet: the worst is not
So long as we can say ‘This is the worst.’

Benedick: And, I pray thee now, tell me - for which of my bad parts didst thou first fall in love with me?Beatrice: For them all together; which maintained so politic a state of evil that they will not admit any good part to intermingle with them. But for which of my good parts did you first suffer love for me?Benedick: Suffer love! a good epithet! I do suffer love indeed, for I love thee against my will.Beatrice: In spite of your heart, I think; alas, poor heart! If you spite it for my sake, I will spite it for yours; for I will never love that which my friend hates.
- Much Ado About Nothing (Act V, Scene II) [x]

I have an idea for my second tattoo!

Some sort of design involving a brilliant and delicate flower, with a snake wrapping around the length of it. Obviously representing Lady Macbeth’s line from Macbeth, “…look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under’t.” Not only will it represent yet another of Shakespeare’s magnificent works, but it is also a constant reminder of both good and evil, and the different sides of both humanity and a single person. Not everyone is either a good person or a bad person - we all have both faults and things to be proud of. It is what we choose to act on that truly matters.

I’m loving this idea more and more as I type this out. Maybe on my ankle? That will have to be decided. df;jdf8er excitement!! (:

nami86:

Colin Firth as William Shakespeare & Rowan Atkinson as Edmund Blackadder
Blackadder: Back & Forth

Blackadder: Oh, just one more thing Mr Shakespeare…
*turning and knocking Shakespeare*
Blackadder: That is for every schoolboy and schoolgirl for the next four hundred years. Have you any idea how much suffering you’ going to cause. Hours spent at school desks trying to find one joke in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’? Years wearing stupid tights in school plays and saying things like “What hol’, my lord” and “Oh, look, here comes Othello, talking total crap as usual.” And that…
*kicking Shakespeare*
…  is for Kenneth Branagh’s endless uncut four-hour version of ‘Hamlet’.
Shakespeare: Who’s Kenneth Branagh?
Blackadder: I’ll tell him you said that. And I think he’ll be rather hurt.
